RN Case Manager - Workers Compensation

The RN Case Manager, Workers Compensation provides care coordination and case management for injured team members, focusing on facilitating their return to work. They oversee medical care from injury/illness onset to case closure, conducting assessments via in-person, telephonic, or video visits to monitor progress and identify barriers. Regular communication with workers' compensation carriers, third-party administrators, and healthcare providers ensures effective claims management and treatment adherence. The role involves developing individualized return-to-work (RTW) plans, collaborating with healthcare teams, and monitoring compliance with treatment and RTW protocols. They maintain accurate documentation within case management systems, ensuring regulatory and organizational policies are met, including HIPAA and patient safety standards. Building relationships across organizational levels, they respond promptly to customer needs, participate in regulatory activities, and promote best practices. Qualifications include a bachelor's degree in Nursing or Healthcare/Science and 3+ years of clinical nursing experience. Required certifications are RN license in Illinois and BLS (CPR & AED). Preferred skills include problem-solving, attention to detail, compassion, proficiency in MS Office, and knowledge of workers' compensation laws.
