Responsibilities

• Observe, monitor, and report changes in residents’ conditions.
• Perform medical treatments, procedures, and medication administration.
• Assist residents with personal care needs.
• Follow orders from residents’ health care practitioners and document accurately and promptly.
• Monitor and assess vitals.
• Provide nursing care as outlined in the patient care plan.
• Conduct clear and concise hand-off communication and shift reports to support continuity of care.
• Train to meet the specific needs of residents.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Knowledge of current principles and techniques of nursing practice.
• Ability to function as a team leader and accept individual responsibility and accountability for decisions and outcomes.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, personnel, and physicians.
• Understanding of the legal limits of nursing practice and commitment to maintaining professional competency.
• Ability to follow complex oral and written instructions.
• Effective time management skills.
• Desire to work with geriatric, infirmed, and handicapped populations.
• Physical requirements must be met.
• Must pass a drug test.

Pay

$35.00 - $47.00 per hour, plus a $9,000 sign-on bonus.

Long-term care RNs are eligible for up to $24,000 in direct student loan forgiveness. Guidance through the process will be provided.
