About the Role
Registered Nurse position in a mixed Cardiac/Tele and Neuro/Stroke unit, providing both bedside and virtual patient care.
Responsibilities
- Provide age-appropriate patient care in both physical and virtual settings
- Monitor patients and communicate care information to the healthcare team
- Perform medication reconciliation and complete procedure checklists
- Educate patients and families on care plans and health management
- Document all patient interactions and care details via EPIC
Requirements
- Associate degree or higher in Nursing (Bachelor’s degree preferred)
- Valid Illinois RN license
- Current CPR certification
- ACLS certification required
- NIHSS certification required within 6 months of hire
- 1+ year of inpatient experience preferred
Skills
- Understanding of physical and psychological patient needs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to respond effectively to diverse patient needs
- Proficiency with electronic documentation systems
