Responsibilities
- Comprehensive assessment of patient and family needs
- Identification of outcomes based on needs assessment
- Establishing the plan of care
- Supervising the progress and modifying the plan of care as needed
- Maintaining education and competencies to remain proficient in providing high-quality patient care
- Incorporating evidence-based nursing practice
- Identifying outcomes that are age-appropriate, culturally appropriate, realistic, and attainable
- Collaborating effectively with unit staff, leadership, and other disciplines
- Fulfilling all organizational requirements
- Demonstrates ability to coordinate, delegate, and direct unit operation as Charge Nurse
- Demonstrates ability to identify the orientee's learning needs, plan appropriate learning experiences, and validate clinical competence as Preceptor
Requirements
- Associate's or Vocational degree
- 1-2 years RN experience
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- 0 to 2 years cardiac, telemetry, or critical care RN experience preferred
- Licensed Registered Nurse – MN Board of Nursing required if working in state of MN upon hire / WI Department of Safety & Professional Services required if working in the state of WI upon hire
- Current ACLS certification from the American Heart Association, current ALS certification from the American Red Cross, Allina in-house ACLS training (within 60 days of hire), RN-BC, CCRN, CHRN preferred
Qualifications
- Physical Demands: Medium Work
- Experience: Tier 1: 2+ years of RN experience in an acute care setting required: plus, Cardiac and Telemetry experience required within past year. Critical Care and/or Open-Heart experience required. Tier 2: Minimum of one year RN experience required in an acute care setting; plus, Cardiac and Telemetry experience within the past year. Critical Care and/or Open-Heart experience preferred. Tier 3: Up to One year RN experience, or New Grad in an acute care setting, plus Cardiac and Telemetry experience required within past year.
Skills
Nursing skills, including comprehensive assessment, plan of care establishment, supervision, and modification, as well as evidence-based practice and coordination of care.

Pay
Pay Range: $44.64 to $74.33 per hour
Schedule
12-hour permanent night shifts (7:00pm -7:30am) Every 3rd weekend rotation
