About the Role

The staff nurse provides comprehensive nursing care to patients across the lifespan, utilizing nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care. They operate within organizational policies and demonstrate professional growth and accountability. The nurse coordinates patient care activities of assigned staff to ensure high-quality care and maintain practice standards.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care to diverse patient populations from birth onwards
• Assess patient needs, develop and implement care plans, and evaluate outcomes
• Coordinate and oversee care activities of team members
• Adhere to organizational policies and standards of practice
• Maintain professional growth and accountability in practice

Requirements

• Graduate of a nursing program; new graduates are eligible
• Current Registered Nurse license in Georgia or NLC/eNLC multistate license
• BLS certification required
• Hospital nursing experience preferred, especially for PRN roles
• Bachelor’s degree and advanced certifications are a plus
