RN - Cardiac Progressive Care (PT, Days)

Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care for assigned patients in the Cardiac Progressive Care unit. Coordinates care with other departments, evaluates the effectiveness of care provided by direct caregivers, and maintains patient rights and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with Mercy’s mission, values, and service standards.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care using the nursing process.
• Maintain professional accountability for the provision of patient care.
• Ensure compliance with all state board of nursing requirements.

Requirements

• Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate’s Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
• Current RN license in the hiring state and/or compact licensure (must meet all state board of nursing requirements).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (or completion within 30 days of hire).
• Other unit-specific certifications as required.
• Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis.
• Prolonged standing and walking each shift.
• Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.

Pay

• Experienced RN: Up to $10,000 sign-on bonus (no contract required).
• ASN to BSN Bridging Program: Up to $16,000 to assist in obtaining your BSN.
• BSN to MSN Bridging Program: Up to $16,000 to assist in obtaining your MSN.
• New RN: Up to $7,500 sign-on bonus (no contract required).
• RN Loan Forgiveness Program to aid in paying off RN student loan debt (must start with Mercy within 12 months of graduation).

Schedule

• Part-Time - 24 hours/week.
• 12-hour day shifts (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM).
