About the role

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking full-time experienced (18 Months+) Registered Nurses to join the Cardiac Care Unit at Baylor Scott & White Memorial Hospital in Temple, Texas. The Cardiac Care Unit is a 36-bed Telemetry Monitored Nursing Unit that provides the opportunity to work with a wide variety of patients ranging in age from adults to geriatrics. This unit specializes in myocardial infarction, coronary artery bypass, pre/post heart transplant patients, transcatheter aortic valve replacement, percutaneous trans-luminal coronary angioplasty, chest pain, congestive heart failure, vascular surgery, ventricular assist device (VAD) and invasive hemodynamic monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Work with multidisciplinary teams including social services, case management, physical therapy, respiratory therapy and dietary to provide comprehensive care to patients.
• Provide care grounded in best evidence-based practices to ensure quality patient care.
• Participate in shared governance initiatives to support professional growth and patient satisfaction.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited program in nursing.
• Minimum 18 Months of RN experience in an acute care or hospital setting.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Must be licensed to practice professional nursing by the Board of Nurse Examiners for the State of Texas.
