RN Registered Nurse Cardiac PCU

About the role

The Cardiac PCU 3D is a 38-bed telemetry monitored progressive care unit focusing on Cardiac patient populations. This unit participates in the Progress-In-Place initiative, allowing patients to remain on the same unit regardless of their acuity level.

Responsibilities

• Assesses, plans, implements, evaluates, and documents nursing care of patients in accordance with organizational policies and standards of professional nursing practice.
• Plans and coordinates care with the multidisciplinary team, including the discharge plan.
• Delegates tasks to other licensed nurses and other personnel as appropriate.
• Evaluates patient progress and the effectiveness of teaching.
• Maintains accurate and timely documentation in the patient record.
• Collaborates with other health care providers to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Requirements

• Current, valid RN license in state of practice, temporary/interim RN license, or compact RN licensure for current state of practice.
• BLS certification.
• One year experience in an acute care hospital setting, preferably in a similar unit.
• Experience in the clinical area for which the position is applied for is desired.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Professional certification preferred.

Skills

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR).
• Knowledge of cardiovascular nursing practices and protocols.

This is a Full Time, Day shift position working 3/12-hour shifts per week from 7:00am-7:30pm.
