About the role
Provides direct and indirect patient care, collaborating with physicians, leadership, and multidisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes. Utilizes critical thinking, nursing processes, and compassionate care while respecting patient autonomy and dignity. Performs general nursing duties, patient education, and prioritization, ensuring high-quality care and safety.
Responsibilities
- Assesses patients accurately based on their medical conditions.
- Administers prescribed medications and provides age-appropriate care.
- Develops and evaluates patient and family teaching plans.
- Utilizes nursing knowledge to perform treatments and assist with procedures.
- Addresses psychosocial needs and coordinates with social services for discharge planning.
- Practices cost-effective resource management.
- Prioritizes patient care effectively and promotes safety by minimizing risks.
- Engages in lifelong learning to stay current in nursing practice.
Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
- Computer literacy required.
- Valid RN licensure and BLS certification within 14 days of hire.
- Preferred: ACLS/PALS certifications.
