Job Summary

As an RN in the Cardiac Cath Lab, you will provide care to patients undergoing cardiac catheterizations.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care.
- Implement, monitor, evaluate, update and revise patient care plans.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient conditions.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
- Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
- Assess and coordinate patients' discharge needs.
- Educate patients and their families.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (Diploma, ADN or BSN program).
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- One year of current acute care RN experience in a hospital setting OR licensed military RN experience.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or ALS through the American Red Cross upon hire or within one year of employment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Electrophysiology experience.
- Cath Lab experience.
- Two years of critical care experience.
Physical Requirements
- Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patient, manual and finger dexterity, and coordination.
- Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time.
- Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
- Requires working under stressful conditions and irregular hours.
- Exposure to communicable diseases and/or body fluids.
