RN Cancer Center FT
Job Description
Works with other members of the clinical team to deliver quality nursing care to our infusion patients, in an outpatient clinic setting. Executes medication regimens prescribed for those patients by licensed physicians. Administers non-chemo medications including blood products, IV fluids, vaccines, etc per physician/APP orders. Provides medication teaching to patients prior to administration.
Education/Training/Experience
- BSN required and 3-5 years nursing experience.
Licenses/Certifications
- Current RN license to practice professional nursing in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania required.
- BSN required.
Physical Demand Analysis
- Sitting, standing, walking, agility and dexterity.
- Near vision, depth perception, color vision and exposure to video display terminal.
- Ability to hear normal conversation and telephone communication.
- Occupational exposure to chemotherapy drugs, blood/body fluids.
- Use of IV pumps, pheresis equipment, blood pressure machines.
- Sustains physical demands analysis– supportive assistance to ambulatory patients constantly (67-100% of the time).
