RN - C/C Staff Nurse Resource Pool (Weekend)
About the role
Critical Care Resource Pool (RP) staff RNs are part of a team of caregivers who provide staffing support to a variety of units. Assigned units will be within the Critical Care RP staff RN's skill level. All Critical Care RP staff RNs are supported by the General Care unit and Critical Care unit leadership and reports to the Resource Pool Manager.
Responsibilities
- Provides developmentally appropriate psychosocial and clinical care.
- Plans, provides, and monitors specific patient needs following established policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Communicates and collaborates effectively with all members of the healthcare team.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
Licenses and certifications
Required: Current Virginia state license as a Registered Nurse or Registered Nurse holding a valid Compact State license. CPR, PALS and/or NRP training required and/or must be obtained within 45 days of hire.
Preferred: RN certification preferred.
Education and experience
Required: Associate's in Nursing/Diploma in Nursing.
Preferred: BSN is preferred. Pediatric experience preferred.

- Demonstrated ability to work in a team and collaboratively shared leadership environment.
Working conditions
Expected to work in a patient care environment with minimal exposure to environmental hazards such as, but not limited to, excessive noise, dust, or extremes in temperatures. Exposure to communicable diseases and moderately adverse working conditions due to the need to perform certain patient care activities can be expected.
