RN Break Relief - Admin - Lakewood - FT Days (40 hours)

Your Role on the Team

The Clinical Nurse 2 Break Nurse is responsible for the delivery of patient care, utilizing the nursing process for assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation while meeting competently all safe expectations of a nurse; responsible for providing meal and rest periods relief for the assigned unit(s) and according to the established guidelines.

Requirements for 3 West Medical Surgical

• Current CA RN License
• Current BLS Provider
• Current ACLS Provider within 14 days of hire or transfer
• ONS chemotherapy certification within 90 days
• Six months nursing experience
• External candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in nursing or above

Preferred: Acute hospital experience; 1-2 years previous experience

Requirements for 2 East Telemetry

• Current CA RN License
• Current BLS Provider
• Current ACLS Provider
• Minimum six (6) months nursing experience
• External candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in nursing or above

Preferred: Basic cardiac care course or equivalent; knowledge of cardiac monitoring and basic arrhythmia interpretation; 1-2 years previous experience

Requirements for 2 West Telemetry

• Current CA RN License
• Current BLS Provider
• Current ACLS Provider
• Minimum six (6) months nursing experience
• External candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in nursing or above

Preferred: Basic cardiac care course or equivalent; knowledge of cardiac monitoring and basic arrhythmia interpretation; 1-2 years previous experience

Requirements for 2 North/DOU Department

• Current CA RN License
• Current BLS Provider
• Current ACLS
• Minimum two years acute care nursing experience
• External candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in nursing or above

Requirements for CCU

• Current CA RN License
• Current BLS Provider
• Current ACLS
• Minimum two (2) years acute care nursing experience, with critical care experience
• External candidates must have Bachelor's Degree in nursing or above

Preferred: Previous open heart experience

Requirements for ICU

• Current CA RN License
• Current BLS Provider
• Current ACLS Provider
• Minimum two (2) years acute care nursing experience, with critical care experience
• External candidates must have Bachelor's Degree in nursing or above

Required Physical Requirements

• Position involves standing and walking for long periods of time, approximately 75% of the workday. Sitting is approximately 25%.
• Must be able to transfer and lift patients as necessary. Weight will vary from patient to patient.
• Must have the dexterity, coordination, and visual and auditory acuity to perform all job responsibilities.
• Must be able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
• Must be free from signs of illness and infections.
