RN - BHSL - General Adult Inpatient Unit

Summary of Job Duties

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Behavioral Health Service Line (BHSL) General Adult Inpatient Unit consistently provides effective direct care to a variety of patients, will work as part of the interdisciplinary team, based on licensure, title and competencies. The RN seeks, as well as provides, feedback for improved clinical practice. The RN integrates theory and research into clinical practice. The RN provides leadership to members of the nursing team in order to maintain patient care standards. The RN works under the direct supervision of the Clinical Services Manager (CSM).

Qualifications

• Minimum Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited nursing program with an Associate's Degree in Nursing, Nursing Diploma, Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, or Master's Degree in Nursing
  Minimum 1 year of Registered Nurse experience
  Current and valid Registered Nurse license in the State of Arkansas
  Excellent communication skills, basic computer skills, strong work ethic and accountability
• Preferred Qualifications: 2 or more years of Registered Nurse experience
  Current BLS

Job Requirements

The Registered Nurse (RN) delivers nursing care for patients within the limits of the Nurse Practice Act of the State of Arkansas and adheres to institutional policies, procedures and standards. The RN is responsible to adhere to the standard of care defined by UAMS, ANA, and Standards for specialty patient population with support and mentoring by other team members.
