About the Role
Trinity Health Livonia is a 304-bed acute care hospital in Livonia, MI, offering comprehensive care including a 24-hour emergency department, general medicine, inpatient and outpatient surgery, physical medicine and rehabilitation, intensive care unit, cancer care, cardiology, geriatrics, and birthing and women's health. The 5W Inpatient Behavioral Health Unit is a 32-bed unit providing care for patients with psychiatric conditions such as depression, schizophrenia, mood disorders, and psychosis. Treatment is delivered in structured group settings within a therapeutic milieu, with nurses playing a vital role in promoting mental health, safety, and compassionate care. The unit also provides post-ECT (Electroconvulsive Therapy) care.
Responsibilities
The Registered Nurse is accountable for managing patient care during a designated timeframe, including coordination and evaluation of care, teaching, and delegation of patient activities to other healthcare team members through the nursing process and environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Associate degree in Nursing required. BSN must be obtained within five years if not already held.
- Current RN licensure in the State of Michigan.
- BLS certification required.
- Previous medical-surgical experience preferred.
- Computer proficiency and excellent customer service skills.
