About the role
As a Registered Nurse at Corpus Christi Medical Center, you’ll have all the staffing support, technology and resources you need to deliver safe, high-quality care—so you can focus on what you do best. The Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high quality, patient-centered care per the nature and specific requirements of the department, and consistent with the scope and standards of practice for the relevant state and specialty.
Responsibilities
- Assesses patient condition during admission and during each shift as scheduled and/or as needed, identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
- Performs procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s).
- Documents the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
- Performs exceptional care by responding promptly to patient requests.
- Strives to anticipate patient needs and resolve them proactively.
- Manages the quality of care by collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate, evaluate, customize, and deliver a holistic patient treatment plan that promotes and supports recovery.
- Manages the continuation of care by serving as the interface between healthcare providers and community support systems who coordinate ongoing care needs for specialized patient groups.
Requirements
- Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Registered Nurse
- Associate Degree
- Basic Cardiac Life Support
