Responsibilities
- Provide direction to access appropriate placement of all admissions and transfers across the system.
- Maintain room availability and turnover of beds.
- Act as a central contact for all bed management decisions.
- Cookordinate bed flow meetings as needed and implement tools to enable a centralized information base.
- Work cooperatively with ancillary staff including transport, environmental services, laboratory, radiology, dietary and medical records staff.
- Ensure patient service is continuous and of high quality.
- Participate in culture related activities and serve as a role model for culture related behaviors.
- Provide high level customer service and customer satisfaction in the placement of patients within Southcoast.
- Perform accurate and timely pre-registration intake interviews.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is required.
- Excellent computer skills and ability to use bed-tracking system required.
- Knowledge of Teletracking bed system preferred.
- Demonstrated conflict resolution, interpersonal, critical thinking and problem solving skills required.
- A minimum of five years related clinical experience required.
- Two years experience in a critical care environment preferred.
- Previous Bed Flow experience preferred.
- Current RN Licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts is required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
- Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID-19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired.
Pay
Pay rate will be determined based on level of experience. Pay Range USD $44.92 - USD $82.48 /Hr.
Schedule
Rotation Schedule Requirement availability to work 2 weekend shifts per schedule. Required to work 2 holidays per year: one summer and one winter. List to be provided.
