Role Overview The Bed Control/Transfer Center Registered Nurse (BCTC RN) manages bed coordination and patient transfers within the hospital. They evaluate, process, and document patient placements, collaborating with physician offices, emergency departments, inpatient units, surgical services, and procedural areas to optimize patient flow and service quality. Key Responsibilities Coordinate and assign hospital beds efficientlyAssess patients for appropriate care level and bed placementFacilitate communication among healthcare teams and administrationUtilize problem-solving and customer service skills to determine best patient care solutions Qualifications Bachelor's Degree of Science in Nursing (BSN)3-5 years of RN experience in an acute care settingProficiency with EPIC EMR platformGeorgia RN licensure or multistate license (NLC/eNCL)BCLS certification Preferred Experience: Critical care or emergency/trauma experience, leadership roles such as charge nurse.
