Responsibilities
- Evaluates, coordinates, processes, screens, and documents patient transfers into PAH.
- Collaborates with physician offices, emergency department, inpatient units, surgical services and procedural areas to facilitate patient flow and provide optimum service to all patients and physicians.
- Assesses patients for the most appropriate level of immediate care and optimal bed placement.
- Utilizes problem-solving and customer service skills to determine the best course of action for the patient, the physician, and the hospital.
- Works closely with facility House Supervisors, referring physicians, ED/inpatient staff and administration.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree of Science in Nursing (BSN) Required
- 3 years to 5 years of experience working as a Registered Nurse in an acute care setting
- Preferred experience in critical care or emergency/trauma
- Proficient with EPIC EMR platform
- Preferred charge nurse or higher level of leadership experience/responsibility
- RN - Registered Nurse - Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure Required
- BCLS - Basic Life Support through American Heart Association Required
