About the Role

As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will be a pivotal healthcare professional, delivering compassionate, high-quality care that impacts our patients' well-being and recovery. You will leverage your expertise to provide individualized, comprehensive care, making critical assessments, performing skilled procedures, and implementing patient care plans. Collaborate within an interdisciplinary team in a dynamic environment focused on optimal patient outcomes.

This role is ideal for a Medical Surgical Neuro Nurse seeking a challenge in Medical Surgical Telemetry, where you will encounter a variety of complex patient medical conditions and surgeries.

Responsibilities

  • Administer, oversee, and document medication administration (topically, orally, intramuscularly, subcutaneously, and intravenously) as ordered by healthcare practitioners and in accordance with hospital policy.
  • Assess patients to identify physical, psychosocial, cultural, behavioral/emotional, developmental, and spiritual needs; gather relevant data for patient care.
  • Implement appropriate patient interventions and evaluate outcomes; plan care based on initial and ongoing assessments.
  • Provide holistic, comprehensive, and professional nursing care within the scope of practice.
  • Prepare patients for discharge and coordinate post-discharge needs.
  • Demonstrate cultural sensitivity and competence in communication and care provision.
  • Apply knowledge and skills specific to the patient populations served by the department.
  • Engage in professional growth and meet mandatory requirements by stated deadlines.
  • Document care delivered and patient status using the nursing process in accordance with FHS standards; ensure accuracy, timeliness, and execution of physician orders.
  • Provide comprehensive and compassionate care for Medical Surgical level patients, including those with conditions such as Heart Failure, Pneumonia, Hip Fractures, and General Abdominal Surgeries.
  • Develop and implement nursing care plans; assess and monitor patients.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including Physicians, Care Management, and Therapy Services.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington state.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS-CPR) certification.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
  • One year of related work experience in an acute care setting.

Pay

$47.86 - $90.42 per hour.
