About the Role

As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will be a pivotal healthcare professional, delivering compassionate, high-quality care that impacts our patients' well-being and recovery. Responsibilities

• Adhere to department and hospital policies, including safety, risk management, and regulatory standards.
• Administer, oversee, and document medication administration (topically, orally, intramuscularly, subcutaneously, and intravenously) as ordered by healthcare practitioners.
• Assess patients for physical, psychosocial, cultural, behavioral/emotional, developmental, and spiritual needs; gather relevant data for patient care.
• Implement and evaluate patient interventions; plan care based on initial and ongoing assessments.
• Provide holistic, comprehensive, and professional nursing care within the scope of practice.
• Prepare patients for discharge and coordinate post-discharge needs.
• Demonstrate cultural sensitivity and competence in communication and care delivery.
• Apply knowledge and skills for the department’s defined patient populations.
• Engage in professional growth and meet mandatory requirements by stated deadlines.
• Document care and patient status using the nursing process in accordance with standards.
• Receive, verify, and execute physician orders accurately and timely.
• Assist surgeons and the surgical team in the OR.
• Care for patients before, during, and after surgical procedures.
• Develop and implement nursing care plans for surgical patients.
• Ensure operating rooms are prepped with necessary equipment and supplies.
• Demonstrate compassion for patients.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing (required upon hire).
• Completion of an approved OR residency or minimum of one year of previous OR experience (required).
• Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington state (required upon hire).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) - CPR certification (required upon hire).
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (preferred).
• One year of related work experience in an acute care setting (preferred).
• If assigned to the Gig Harbor Same Day Surgery (SDS) facility, related work experience in a free-standing surgery center (preferred).
• Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR) certification (preferred).

Pay

$47.86 - $90.42 per hour.
