Cardiac Procedural/Surgical IMCU Overview

This 24-bed cardiac surgical/procedural IMCU provides care to pre and post cardiac surgery patients to include: bypass surgery, cardiac valve repairs/replacements, thoracic surgery/lung diagnostics, and other cardiac based procedures and treatments such as ablations, left atrial appendages, ICDs, and permanent pacemakers. Nurses handle 3-4 patients on this unit based on acuity level. Provides a high level of care to patients with cardiac arrhythmias, heart failure, and chest pain.

Education

Associate’s Degree or Diploma in Registered Nursing (required) Bachelor of Science Nursing- BSN or MSN (Preferred)

Certification/Licensure

• Virginia RN License
• Virginia or Compact/Multi-State Eligible
• BLS within 90 days of hire
• ACLs within 1 year of hire

Experience
