About the role
A “Registered Nurse” is a person who holds a valid Indiana license, and who bears primary responsibility and accountability for nursing practices based on specialized knowledge, judgment, and skill derived from the principles of biological, physical, and behavioral sciences.
Overview Of Responsibilities
- Maintain competence in BLS after initial training.
- Demonstrate a calm, pleasant, and professional demeanor.
- Work cooperatively with all staff, physicians, and departments.
- Commit to Patient Satisfaction and Patient Safety.
- Follow unit and departmental policies and procedures.
- Use therapeutic touch to calm and comfort.
- Maintain a positive attitude and refrain from complaining.
- Support the team by recognizing and celebrating successes.
- Prioritize safety when making decisions.
- Connect with others, fostering empathy and compassion.
- Promote and support Reid’s services and regional market strategies.
- Show courteous interactions, including using correct voice inflection and positive body language.
- Show empathy by acknowledging and validating patients' situations or experiences.
Requirements
Experience as determined by work area and hospital in order to acquire and effectively utilize knowledge of unit and departmental policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Minimum education required: Associates, Bachelor's, or Masters Degree in Nursing.
- Minimum licensure required: Licensure in State of Indiana as a Registered Nurse.
