About the role

The Infusion Center at Moffitt Cancer Center is seeking Registered Nurses to join our team. Patients come here to receive chemotherapy, intravenous medications, and other blood products.

Responsibilities

• Deliver individualized quality nursing care to cancer patients and families in accordance with established hospital guidelines, nursing professional practice model, nursing care standards and policies and in accordance with ANA code of ethics and external regulatory agencies.
• Use the nursing process to assess, plan, and evaluate the care of cancer patients and families.
• Identify, document, and provide patient education based on learning needs of the patient.
• Participate in Evidence-based improvement activities related to area of practice.
• Participate in professional development based on the nursing professional standards, regulatory requirements, and job expectations.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an ACEN or CCNE accredited institution with at least one year of relevant experience or Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN) from an ACEN or CCNE accredited institution with 1 year of relevant experience.
• Florida RN License.
• BLS Certification.

Qualifications

• Chemo Blood Platelets Administering IV fluids, IV antibiotics, bladder treatments, IP treatments, and hormonal therapy injections.
• Accessing ports and changing central line dressings.
• Chemotherapy Certification.

Schedule

We are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and the schedule varies depending on the department and shift.
