Job Summary
Provides patient-centered nursing care in collaboration with the healthcare team, utilizing clinical judgment to diagnose and treat human responses to health problems. Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care while coordinating activities with other disciplines.
Essential Responsibilities
- Assessment: Performs comprehensive multi-system evaluations, identifies deviations, and reassesses throughout hospitalization, including discharge assessments.
- Planning: Develops individualized care plans, coordinates care and discharge planning, delegates tasks appropriately, and prioritizes patient needs based on acuity.
- Implementation: Initiates protocols, executes physician's plans, documents accurately, performs procedures correctly, and manages emergency situations effectively.
- Evaluation: Assesses the effectiveness of care and participates in quality assurance activities.
Basic Qualifications
- Minimum nine months of RN experience.
- At least one year of CVL experience or two years in critical care in high-volume settings within the last two years.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Basic Life Support certification at hire.
- Critical care certifications such as CCRN, CVN, or equivalent within 12 months of hire.
- Registered Nurse License (Oregon).
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification.
Additional Requirements
- Computer skills and procedural sedation experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous healthcare experience and a bachelor's degree in nursing or related field.
- Two or more years of critical care experience and certifications such as CCRN, CRN, CVN, or RCIS at hire.
