RN, Ambulatory - Urology Clinic
About the role
The Staff RN-Ambulatory Clinics works collaboratively as an active member of the interprofessional team to provide therapeutic patient and family centered care. This role systematically and continuously collects and assesses data related to patient health status to develop, execute, and evaluate the plan of care. The Staff RN-Ambulatory Clinics utilizes evidence to drive clinical decisions and practice related to individual and population health, establishes goals and strategies for meeting care coordination needs across settings, and considers factors related to safety, effectiveness, and fiscal accountability in planning and delivering care.
Major accountabilities include patient care coordination, direct patient care, patient education, telephone triage/eVisits, and performing/assisting with in-clinic minor procedures. May float to other areas as needed for operational needs. Other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate as an active member of the interprofessional team to provide patient and family centered care.
- Collect and assess patient health data to develop, execute, and evaluate the plan of care.
- Utilize evidence-based practices to drive clinical decisions and individual/population health.
- Establish goals and strategies for care coordination across settings with patients, families, and care providers.
- Delegate and supervise care in accordance with the WI Nurse Practice Act.
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives and professional development.
- Provide patient education, telephone triage/eVisits, and assist with in-clinic minor procedures.
- Float to other areas as needed for operational requirements.
Requirements
- Current state of Wisconsin Registered Nurse License or Multi-state Nursing License from a participating state in the NLC (Nurse Licensure Compact).
- American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA-approved equivalent required within 90 days of hire.
- Clinical experience and/or interest in the care and management of patient populations specific to the area of employment.
- At least 1 year of relevant nursing experience preferred.
Qualifications
- Nursing licensure required.
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
Schedule
- Hybrid role.
- FTE: 0.90 (36 standard hours per week).
- Shift: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM.
- No holidays or weekends required.
