About the role
Cleveland Clinic Indian River Hospital is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join their Infusion Clinic team. The Cancer Center provides a comprehensive range of services including clinical trials and advanced cancer research, ensuring patients have access to the latest treatments and support programs.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients in their cancer journey by delivering exceptional care during their visit.
- Interact directly with patients and their families, offering healthcare education as needed.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments according to physician and nursing orders.
- Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
- Monitor, record, document, and communicate patients' conditions.
- Assess and coordinate patients' discharge needs.
- Work days from 8:00AM – 4:30PM or 8:30AM – 5:00PM.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (Diploma, ADN or BSN program).
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross.
- One year of current acute care RN experience OR licensed military RN experience.
- ONS Chemo/Bio course completed within two years of hire if employed on units where chemo is administered.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Knowledge of chemotherapy.
- Excellent IV skills.
