RN After Hours - Hospice Care

About the Role

The Afterhours Registered Nurse provides comprehensive hospice care during evenings, nights, and weekends. Responsibilities include triaging patient needs via phone, responding urgently to crisis calls, conducting initial evaluations to determine hospice eligibility, and performing after-hours visits such as admissions, death, recertification, and routine assessments.

Responsibilities

• Assess and identify physical, psychosocial, emotional, and environmental needs of patients and families
• Reassess patient needs at least every fifteen days
• Document problems, goals, interventions, and patient responses
• Provide care regardless of patient demographics or home situation

Requirements

• Current unrestricted RN license in the practice state
• Valid driver’s license, vehicle insurance, and access to reliable transportation or public transit

Qualifications

• Preferred: CPR certification and over one year of clinical experience

Pay

Salary ranges from $67,104 to $100,656 annually, based on experience and market factors.
