About the role

The 3 East-Acute Inpatient Rehabilitation unit at Allegheny Health Network specializes in the rehabilitation of patients recovering from various conditions such as strokes, brain injuries, and surgeries. The team works closely with physical, occupational, and speech therapists to provide comprehensive care.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership and mentorship to the team.
• Assigns tasks based on patient needs and staff capabilities.
• Maintains a safe environment and intervenes promptly when necessary.
• Shares knowledge and feedback with peers and participates in interdisciplinary teams.
• Assesses patient conditions and collaborates with physicians and supervisors.
• Ensures compliance with patient safety goals and departmental quality initiatives.
• Supervises and evaluates LPN scope of practice as needed.
• Uses the nursing process to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Evaluates patient outcomes and communicates changes to medical staff.
• Manages patient assignments across different units and maintains high patient satisfaction.
• Manages time effectively to meet daily responsibilities.

Requirements

• Current Pennsylvania RN license or multi-state licensure through the eNLC.
• CPR certification.
• Act 34, Act 33, and Act 73 clearances.

Qualifications

• Minimum Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.
• Minimum Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate.
• Minimum Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.
• Current State of PA RN licensure or Current multi-state licensure through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).
• CPR certification.
• Preferred Certification in area of specialty.
