RN - Acute Care

Job Description

Provides direct and indirect patient care.

Provides assessment and planning for individualized patient care.

Communicates with physicians about changes in patient’s clinical condition, diagnostic studies and symptomatology.

Responds quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.

Performs general nursing duties.

Participates in performance improvement activities.

Knowledgeable of a wide range of disorders; cognitive, emotional, developmental, social and behavioral.

Performs crisis intervention.

Communicates with physicians/Nurse Manager/co-workers, as appropriate about changes in patient’s clinical condition including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology.

Able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.

Participates in the department's performance improvement and continuous quality improvement (CQI) activities.

Qualifications

• Must be flexible, adapt to changing workloads, work well with staff on different units.
• CPR, ACLS preferred
• Prefers at least 1 year of Med Surg experience.
• Current Indiana RN or LPN license
