This position is 10% FTE with 8/12 hour day/evening/night shifts. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department. Work location: 8501 Excelsior Dr., Madison, WI.
About the role
Join the #1 hospital in Wisconsin as a Registered Nurse (RN) to:
- Assist referring providers with urgent care needs for their adult and pediatric patients.
- Arrange transportation on UW Med Flight or CHETA (Children’s Hospital Emergency Transport Ambulance), available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
- Act as the clinical liaison to centralize and simplify the process of providing the appropriate level of care for the patient.
- Ensure a multidisciplinary team approach while working to provide access for the best care of the patient and family.

Additional compensation components may include evening and night shift differential, weekend differential, and relocation assistance for qualified applicants.
Requirements
- Baccalaureate degree in Nursing (required).
- Registration as a professional nurse in the state of Wisconsin (required).
Qualifications
- 1 year of relevant clinical RN experience in acute care medical/surgical nursing (preferred).
- Recent experience in phone triage, phone processing, discharge planning, or case management (preferred).
- Previous experience within the UW Health System (preferred).
