About the role

Shorewood Behavioral Health is seeking Registered Nurses for a new state-of-the-art 120-bed behavioral healthcare hospital in Madison, WI. The hospital will provide comprehensive acute and outpatient psychiatric care for adolescents, adults, and seniors dealing with mental health and substance use disorders. Services include Partial Hospitalization Programs (PHP), Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP), and Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT).

Responsibilities

• Assess patients' physical and behavioral health needs.
• Develop and implement nursing care plans.
• Maintain medical records and educate patients and their families.
• Provide nursing care and services within the standards and scope of nursing practice.
• Ensure physicians’ orders are legible and transcribed appropriately.
• Accurately administer medications and document controlled substance medication administration.
• Complete admission and discharge processing efficiently and accurately.
• Communicate therapeutically and professionally with patients, visitors, co-workers, and others involved inpatient treatment.

Requirements

• Graduated from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license as required by the state of employment.
• One year of nursing experience; previous psychiatric, mental, behavioral, or substance use nursing experience preferred.
• CPR and de-escalation and restraint certification required (training available upon hire).

Skills

Knowledge of universal precautions and ability to maintain professional boundaries are essential.

Benefits

Sign-On Bonus of $7,500 for FT Nights Shifts.

Pay

$48.00 - $56.00/hr
