About the Role
Kettering Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to utilize the nursing process in providing nursing care to patients in all settings in collaboration with other health care providers. The RN is accountable for professional development and practice within the scope of care defined by law, acting as a patient advocate for safe care, including delegation of care and participation in performance and practice improvement activities. The delivery of nursing care reflects the missions, vision, values, and philosophies of Kettering Health Network.
Responsibilities
- Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care in collaboration with healthcare providers.
- Act as a patient advocate for the delivery of safe care.
- Delegate care appropriately and participate in performance and practice improvement activities.
- Maintain accountability for professional development and practice within legal scope.
Requirements
- Licensed in the state of Ohio as a Registered Nurse.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (NLN, ACEN, or CCNE) if a new graduate nurse.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred (must be completed within 5 years of hire).
- A nurse returning to acute care after five or more years may need to provide evidence of a refresher course completion.
- BLS certification required.
- ACLS, NRP, PALS certifications as determined by unit scope of practice.
Schedule
Full-time, 12-hour night shifts.
