About the role

Cleveland Clinic Marymount Hospital’s 3 South nursing unit is an 18-bed observation unit with 8 private patient rooms. The unit is dedicated to providing care to adult patients with a wide variety of medical conditions, including respiratory disorders, anemia, and altered mental status, with a focus on cardiac disorders such as heart failure and arrhythmias. Marymount Hospital’s 4 South nursing unit is a 16-bed general medical unit with 8 private patient rooms. Typical nursing care for both units includes IV access, phlebotomy, medication administration, patient education, wound care, IV therapy, and blood product administration.

Responsibilities

• Assist fellow caregivers in delivering exceptional care by interacting directly with patients, families, and visitors, offering the opportunity to enhance their experience and supply healthcare information as needed.
• Provide direct nursing care.
• Implement and monitor patient care plans.
• Monitor, record and communicate patients’ conditions.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs.
• Educate patients and their families

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (ADN or BSN program)
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Minimum one-year current acute care RN experience in a hospital setting
• Will consider licensed military RN experience

Pay

• Minimum hourly: $35.50
• Maximum hourly: $55.60

Schedule

• Rotating day/night rotating shifts from 7:00 a.m. — 7:30 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. — 7:30 a.m.
• Every other weekend and holiday requirements
