RMF Specialist
About the role
Seeking an Information Assurance Engineer to design, implement, and manage policies and procedures to ensure software security for the mission management software for heterogeneous, proliferated satellite constellations. Your ability to lead and apply security expertise to deliver security plans, accreditation, and compliance to security requirements for the mission management software—which controls the satellite constellations—will be critical for executing this defense program.
Responsibilities
- Deliver and execute security plans, accreditation, and compliance to DCO-S security requirements.
- Design, implement, and manage policies and procedures to ensure software security.
- Implement configuration management processes in a DevSecOps or Agile development environment.
- Work onsite at an accredited SCIF/SAPF to support classified system integration.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience delivering and executing security plans, accreditation, and compliance to DCO-S security requirements.
- Experience as a security engineer.
- Knowledge of implementing configuration management processes in a DevSecOps or Agile development environment.
- Active TS/SCI clearance.
- Bachelor’s degree.
Nice-to-have Qualifications
- Experience supporting design reviews, configuration audits, and evaluations of software products to ensure proper identification, control, and status accounting of the software baseline for each system.
- Experience assessing information systems to determine risk exposures and assisting in the development of prevention procedures and policies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems.
- AR 25-2 Information Assurance (IA) Certification.
Clearance
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. TS/SCI clearance is required.

Pay
Salary is determined by various factors, including location, education, knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, contract-specific affordability, and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $61,900.00 to $141,000.00 (annualized USD).
Schedule
This role may be remote, hybrid, or onsite:
- Remote: Occasional in-person work at a Booz Allen or customer facility may be required.
- Hybrid: Frequent work from a Booz Allen facility, with possible visits to a customer facility, based on leadership expectations and role needs.
- Onsite: Work primarily performed at a Booz Allen office or customer facility, with direct collaboration as required by the role.
Employees working virtually are generally expected to have their cameras on during meetings to support engagement and effective communication.
