RME Operator
About the role
The RME Operator (RMEO) role supports the RME team in day-to-day work, focusing on maintaining and repairing conveyance systems, material handling equipment, and site-specific building technologies. This role requires strong technical problem-solving skills and adherence to safety regulations.
Responsibilities
- Follow safe work practices while performing preventive maintenance checks on a variety of equipment
- Replace spare parts on equipment following standard operation procedures (site dependent)
- Use a laptop/tablet for managing work orders
- Use basic workshop tools
Requirements
- One year of experience as a Blue Badge Amazon Employee
- Flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays
- Knowledge of basic mathematics
- Experience with mechanical systems
- Experience with electrical systems
Qualifications
- Technical education in related field (preferred)
- Associate degree in Mechatronics (preferred)
- High School CTE in Mechatronics (preferred)
- Experience working on an Amazon Robotics Floor (preferred)
- Experience working as an Amazon Amnesty Floor Monitor (preferred)
Physical Demands
- Must have ability to reach overhead, kneel, squat, climb steps/ladders, use an aerial lift, and frequently lift a maximum of 50 lbs. of equipment
- Ability to perform tasks wearing appropriate or required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Regularly required to crouch or bend and reach to install/move equipment
- Average 6 to 12 miles per day walking, standing, and moving between departments, floors, and properties
- Work in a warehouse environment with fluctuating temperatures
- Regularly required to type on a computer for 1-2 hours per day

Pay
The compensation for the RME Operator role is $18.97 - $22.32 per hour, depending on eligibility factors such as geographic location, date of hire, total hours worked, job type, business line, and applicability of collective bargaining agreements.

The RME Operator role offers a flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays.
