About the Role
Our client in the manufacturing industry is seeking a Risk Manager - US to join their team in Chicago, IL. As part of the Risk Management Department, you will support enterprise-wide initiatives, focusing on commercial insurance, casualty risk programs, and loss prevention across manufacturing operations.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and manage commercial insurance and casualty risk programs for manufacturing operations.
- Oversee casualty claims and collaborate with third-party administrators, insurance carriers, and legal counsel to achieve favorable outcomes.
- Conduct risk assessments of manufacturing plants, warehouses, and distribution centers to identify loss prevention opportunities.
- Collaborate with Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) and Operations teams to support safety initiatives and reduce injury rates.
- Manage relationships with brokers, carriers, and vendors to optimize insurance coverage and pricing strategies.
Requirements
- 7+ years of progressive experience in risk management, insurance, or casualty management.
- Experience supporting manufacturing, industrial, or supply chain environments.
- Proven ability to manage large deductible, self-insured, or captive insurance programs.
- Strong knowledge of casualty insurance principles, liability claims management, and manufacturing safety practices.
Qualifications
- Relevant certifications such as ARM, CRM, CPCU, or equivalent are preferred.
