Risk Manager II (US) Unsecured Lending
Job Description
The Risk Manager II, on a 2nd line credit risk team, oversees portfolio credit risk on retail unsecured lending products, e.g. credit cards, personal loans, and overdraft. Risk Manager II oversees the creation, implementation and validation of various risk segmentation strategies including, but not limited to: adjudication, exposure management, risk segmentation, financial return optimization, and risk appetite establishment. Special focus would be on overdraft function related to depository products and may have extended responsibilities into other unsecured products.
Risk Manager II provides critical information, interpretative, and detailed analysis, and deploys critical credit risk rational strategies that ensures the decisions are made within the TD risk appetite and adhere to all governmental requirements and guidelines. Expertise in retail lending or unsecured lending credit risk along with abilities to self-motivate and project manage are essential skills to drive success. Advance knowledge on card strategies, Risk Adjusted Revenue, Risk Adjusted Margin, NPV, ROE, etc. with the limited guidance from the manager. Advance coding ability in Python is nice to have but not required.
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree required; Graduate degree preferred or progressive work experience in addition to experience required. 10+ years' experience required. Proficient PC skills in MS Office and a variety of PC-based analytical and reporting software packages. Experience with the use of Relational Databases and the process of Extract Transform Load (ETL) using common languages such as SQL or SAS. Working knowledge of SAS Enterprise Miner, FICO Model Builder or Angoss Knowledge Seeker. Strong analytical and problem solving skills are required to interpret data and draw conclusions. Flexibility to adapt to rapidly changing requirements. Extremely strong attention to detail with ability to manage a range of tasks and prioritize. Proven ability to develop and maintain productive business/peer relationships. Superb written and verbal communication skills. Experienced in developing and presenting recommendations to Senior Management.
