Key Responsibilities

  • Aid in managing the company’s global insurance program, including renewals, broker coordination, exposure data collection, quote analysis, property level allocation analysis, and claims tracking.
  • Conduct property-level risk assessments and due diligence for real estate investments in collaboration with internal investment and asset management teams.
  • Review company contracts and agreements, and related exhibits, to identify insurance, indemnity, and risk-related provisions and flag concerns or inconsistencies for senior risk management review.
  • Collaborate with the insurance consultant to review borrower insurance programs for loan compliance within the Debit Investment Group.
  • Prepare risk reports, dashboards, and summaries for senior management, Investment Committees, and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Maintain insurance tracking and documentation, respond to internal and external insurance inquiries, and assist with data analysis, reporting, and special projects related to portfolio risk management.
  • Manage all portfolio-level claims, working with Asset Management and Construction Management teams to ensure timely resolution of claims.
  • Ensure adherence to internal risk policies and procedures, supporting audit and documentation processes as needed.
  • Support the management of the summer internship program, including recruiting coordination, interviews, program planning, and support in partnership with HR, Facilities, IT, and the broader internship teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Risk Management, or related field.
  • Approximately 1-2 years of experience, including internships in the Insurance or Risk Management industries.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; exposure to financial modeling or data analysis preferred.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Motivated, proactive, and eager to learn in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
