Your Responsibilities
- Develop curriculum, training materials, resources, and interactive courses that focus on various lines of coverage
- Lead live interactive group and one-on-one training to internal Associates on Property and Casualty lines of coverages to help them gain technical acumen in the various products
- Create interactive courses with case studies, role-playing, and scenarios to reinforce knowledge comprehension
- Tailor training programs to meet needs of Associates at all levels including introductory classes for those new to the industry to more advanced courses for more experienced Associates
- Serve as a subject matter expert on various lines of coverage with an understanding of policy terms, conditions, endorsements, exclusions, etc.
- Provide continuous learning opportunities including refresher courses as needed
- Act as a resource for Associates who need additional assistance understanding coverages
- Keep up to date with changes in the industry to ensure training content remains relevant
- Evaluate and assess understanding with pre-course and post-course evaluations, quizzes, hands on exercises, and mock presentations
- Maintain progress throughout training programs including tracking of completion, test results, and performance improvements
- Provide recommendations to the Talent Development Team on the development of Lockton Associates
- Collaborate with the Talent Development team to build cohesive training objectives
- Foster a culture of learning and professional development within Lockton, encouraging Associates to expand their knowledge to successfully service our clients
- Develop and maintain relationships with all Lockton offices to facilitate and provide directive learning programs
Qualifications
- A minimum of 8-10 years experience in Property and Casualty insurance
- Licensed in state of residency or ability to obtain immediately
- CPCU, ARM or equivalent designation
- Exemplary knowledge of Property and Casualty coverages including, but not limited to workers compensation, auto, general liability, umbrella, property, and business income
- Strong understanding of insurance concepts and their application to clients’ needs
- Advanced experience designing, conducting, and leading learning by way of classroom training, instructional design, curriculum development, and organizational development
- Exceptionally strong knowledge of training, learning and development methodologies including but not limited to: e-learning, blended learning, learning communities, performance support, and web supported events
- Strong oral, interpersonal and presentation-based communication skills with ability to speak in front of large or small audiences
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft products (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
- Excellent analytical, critical thinking and problem analysis skills
- Strong ability to manage and influence internal relationships at all levels including targeted stakeholder relationships
- Ability to travel to other Lockton offices as required
- Willingness to work outside of normal business hours
