Ripley's Biology/Marine Biology internship

About the role

We are seeking an energetic, responsible intern to join our animal care team. Our commitment is to develop the next generation of environmental conservationists in a hands-on setting.

Responsibilities

• Rotate between three departments: Education, Life support, and Husbandry
• Shadow multiple positions and train in a variety of tasks
• Talk to guests and communicate effectively
• Lift up to 50 lbs and use a microphone

Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent
• Enrolled in an accredited university/college program to receive credit
• Ability to bend, stoop, and stand for up to 6 hours at a time
• Energetic, courteous, and professional demeanor
• Love talking to people and being approachable
• Self-directed and able to work without supervision
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs
• Able to speak on a microphone
