Primary Duties
- Oversees functional areas including service, construction/maintenance, meter reading, leak survey, corrosion, measurement, instrumentation, and controls.
- Manages multiple budgets; monitors actual vs. budgeted expenditures; conducts annual performance reviews of assigned employees.
- Monitors federal/state laws and company standards to assure compliance with internal/external audits and regulatory requirements.
- Maintains standards of productivity and safety; conducts training programs to improve performance and assure compliance.
- Coordinates material and personnel requirements to meet regulatory compliance and customer safety; collaborates with engineering to schedule jobs.
- Responds to customer inquiries/complaints, coordinates emergency response and leak management activities.
- Prepares and maintains records/reports including annual surveys, procedures, and compliance reviews.
- Promotes company vision, strategy, and wellness/safety initiatives; acts as a champion for public/shareholder engagement.
- Assures all work is following policies, procedures, regulations, and laws.
- Collaborates regularly with other departments to align goals and share best practices.
- Reviews prior day's work for quality control and continuous improvement.
- Participates in on-call rotation if applicable.
- Performs field visits to maintain visibility and support team operations.
- Establishes and maintains healthy business relationships with area developers, home builders, contractors, and economic/industrial development groups.
- Educates existing and potential customers on the safety, affordability, reliability, and efficiency of natural gas.
- Provides 24-hour on-call support for emergency response and incident reporting.
- Other job duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field and three years of related experience; or a general educational knowledge normally acquired through a high school diploma or a General Equivalency Diploma (GED) and five years of related experience.
- Valid driver's license.
Skills
- Strong computer skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Requires the ability to provide explanations of technical or other complex matters to people with little or no background in the area under discussion.
- Requires the ability to perform analyses involving ratios, percentages and simple statistical methods and/or make calculations to reconcile financial statements and accounts.
- Requires basic computer skills to create standardized documents, reports, or graphics using various software.
Work Conditions
- Works in both an indoor and outdoor environment.
- Requires occasionally performing activities including, but not limited to, bending, stooping, grasping, reaching, twisting, turning and/or lifting.
