The Role
We are seeking an Entry-Level Right of Way Specialist with a focus on appraisal services to join our team in TN or KY.
Responsibilities
- Contact property owners impacted by roadway projects; answering phone calls and setting up meetings.
- Inspect properties that are impacted by roadway projects with certified appraiser.
- Absorb and assist the certified appraiser in writing appraisal reports.
- Research market conditions and courthouse records to compile comparable sales for appraisal reports.
- Acquire land and easements under the law of eminent domain, following Federal Highway Administration Guidelines.
- Document and gather data for title reports.
Requirements
- Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree.
- Experience in right of way with transportation projects may substitute for education.
- Experience in real estate appraising is not required but recommended.
- Possess a valid driver's license, travel will be required.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and Excel.
- A high level of attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- A proactive and self-motivated work ethic with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
