The Department of Transportation (DOT) is establishing a list for current and future vacancies at the Highways Right of Way Branch, located in Kapolei, Oahu. The salary range for this position is $5,369 to $6,535 per month (SR-22, Step C to I).

Responsibilities

Performs appraisal negotiation or property management assignments which regularly encompass complex problems; may supervise a small group of lower level Right-of-Way Agents; and performs other related duties as required.

Requirements

  • Legal Authorization To Work: Must be a citizen, national, or permanent resident alien of the United States, or eligible under federal law for unrestricted employment in the United States.

  • Basic Education: Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university.

  • Specialized Experience: Two and one-half (2-1/2) years of experience in one or a combination of the following:

    • Appraisal of real property.
    • Acquisition of real property and rights-of-way.
    • Property management.
  • Substitutions Allowed: Relevant substitutions as described in the Minimum Qualification Requirements.

  • Professional License Requirement: Certification as a Certified Residential Appraiser (CRA) or Certified General Appraiser (CGA) recognized by the State of Hawaii.

  • License Requirement: Valid driver's license in the State of Hawaii.
