Right of Way Agent
About the role
We are currently searching for an experienced Right of Way Agent to support our Midwest Region located in Dayton, OH.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for claim settlement where client’s activities incur damage to property
- Prepares documents necessary to negotiate and option the proposed ROW
- Knowledgeable in title reports, appraisals, and basic ROW/roadway plans
- Makes offers to property owners, prepares and documents paperwork, and reports to supervisor regularly
- Will also be required to make relocation offers
Requirements
- A minimum of one year real estate and/or engineering experience
- At least one of the following ODOT prequalifications: Titles, appraisals, negotiation, closings, relocation
- Strong communications and social skills
- Work from home is an option but will have access to the Volkert office and supplies
- Experience with Microsoft Office, email, and general computer knowledge
- Able to travel to OH to meet with property owners
- Able to pass a pre-employment drug screening to ensure a safe and productive work environment
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license
- Satisfactory motor vehicle report (MVR)
