Description

The Acquisition Agent II is responsible for working directly and independently with landowners, businesses, and other viable entities to acquire rights to easements for assigned projects. This role represents independent execution within the mid-level tier of ProSource’s Acquisition Career Framework.

Responsibilities & Essential Job Functions

  • Works independently to acquire rights in real property full & partial takings, permanent easements, and long-term leases.
  • Identify potential sites and establish contact with landowners.
  • Study, evaluate, and explain project plans and profile drawings and property plats.
  • Prepare requests for title abstracts to determine the parties of interest.
  • Request, review, and evaluate property appraisals or comparable sales reports.
  • Negotiate property leases and purchases with property owners.
  • Analyze governing body zoning and building codes and complete permit applications.
  • Review signed agreements prepared for client approval.
  • Manages assigned parcels independently and negotiates within defined authority.
  • Escalates complex issues appropriately.

Qualifications And Education Requirements

  • A High School Diploma or its equivalent; degree preferred in position related field.
  • 3-6 years of experience in land acquisition, title searches, real estate law, appraisal field or other related fields.
  • Knowledge of real estate law and property transactions.
  • Excellent analytical and research skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple parcels and deadlines independently.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

  • The Acquisition Agent II will spend a significant amount of time working in the field, using a computer and other standard office equipment.
  • The position will require regular travel to meet with landowners, businesses, or any other viable entities.
  • The job may require sitting or standing for extended periods of time and may involve some light lifting or carrying documents or equipment.

The salary range provided is a good faith estimate that may vary.
