In this role, you will be part of the field team that keeps projects moving and helps landowners feel informed, heard, and respected.
Responsibilities
- Build trust with Michigan landowners through calls, letters, field visits, and in-person meetings.
- Explain easement terms, access needs, tree work, and project impacts in plain language.
- Negotiate agreements within approved limits and raise unique requests early.
- Review exhibits, parcel data, route details, and work descriptions for accuracy.
- Submit notes, agreement requests, tree forms, and closeout documents on time.
- Partner with Project Managers, Title, GIS, Admin, forestry teams, and clients.
- Help spot issues early, keep records clean, and support route walks, staking requests, and tract visits across Michigan.
Requirements
- Experience in right of way, land, real estate, customer service, negotiation, or field work.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to review parcel data, maps, exhibits, surveys, or construction drawings.
- Comfort using Google Drive, spreadsheets, trackers, and project tools.
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel for Michigan tract visits.
Qualifications
- A Michigan notary commission, or the ability to obtain one, is preferred.
- A Michigan real estate license, or interest in pursuing one, is also valued.
- Prior utility, land acquisition, oil and gas, or infrastructure experience is a plus.
