About the role

The Rigging Inspection Technician is an entry-level position requiring strong technical and interpersonal skills. This role involves direct customer interaction and is integral to the company's operations.

Responsibilities

  • Review, interpret, and understand codes, instructions, and specifications for inspection
  • Inspect items as directed, determine pass/fail status, and document/report findings as required
  • Produce inspections independently to meet quality assurance standards
  • Move and handle materials as needed to complete inspections
  • Accurately complete daily paperwork, such as inspection reports
  • Report defective or substandard materials/products to customers and supervisors
  • Document and inspect each item as required, ensuring customer satisfaction with proper signatures
  • Display courteous and professional service, discussing customer issues with appropriate personnel
  • Maintain work area, company vehicle, and equipment in a clean and orderly condition, following safety guidelines
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or GED is required; trade school or military experience is a plus
  • A working knowledge of manufacturers and industry standards, including ANSI and OSHA, is preferred but will train the right candidate
  • Certified inspector is preferred but will train the right candidate
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills are required
  • Strong analytical, conceptual, and planning skills are required
  • Basic IT/PC/Technology literacy is preferred but will train the right candidate
  • Must be detail-oriented, self-motivated, and disciplined with the ability to multitask
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude is required
  • Must successfully complete a criminal background check, physical, drug screen, and E-Verify

Qualifications

  • Experience in a service, inspection, or production environment is a plus
