About the role
The Rigging Inspection Technician is an entry-level position requiring strong technical and interpersonal skills. This role involves direct customer interaction and is integral to the company's operations.
Responsibilities
- Review, interpret, and understand codes, instructions, and specifications for inspection
- Inspect items as directed, determine pass/fail status, and document/report findings as required
- Produce inspections independently to meet quality assurance standards
- Move and handle materials as needed to complete inspections
- Accurately complete daily paperwork, such as inspection reports
- Report defective or substandard materials/products to customers and supervisors
- Document and inspect each item as required, ensuring customer satisfaction with proper signatures
- Display courteous and professional service, discussing customer issues with appropriate personnel
- Maintain work area, company vehicle, and equipment in a clean and orderly condition, following safety guidelines
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- A high school diploma or GED is required; trade school or military experience is a plus
- A working knowledge of manufacturers and industry standards, including ANSI and OSHA, is preferred but will train the right candidate
- Certified inspector is preferred but will train the right candidate
- Solid written and verbal communication skills are required
- Strong analytical, conceptual, and planning skills are required
- Basic IT/PC/Technology literacy is preferred but will train the right candidate
- Must be detail-oriented, self-motivated, and disciplined with the ability to multitask
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude is required
- Must successfully complete a criminal background check, physical, drug screen, and E-Verify

- Experience in a service, inspection, or production environment is a plus
