Richmond – Issues & Appeals Associate

About the role

Hunton’s Litigation team seeks an attorney with two to four years (class of 2024 – class of 2022) of experience to join their Issues and Appeals practice group. This full‑time, partnership‑track associate position will provide overall support to this growing practice. The role can be based in Washington, DC; Richmond; Austin; or Boston.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall support to the Issues and Appeals practice group.
• Conduct appellate research, writing, and analysis.
• Assist with appellate matters and related litigation tasks.
• Collaborate with partners and senior attorneys on case strategy.

Qualifications

• Two to four years of post‑law school experience (class of 2024 – 2022).
• Appellate experience; an appellate judicial clerkship is strongly preferred.
• Strong academic record.
• Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Licensure in the jurisdiction of the office location preferred; required within one year of joining.

Pay

Expected salary range: $235,000 – $310,000. Actual offers may vary based on education, training, skill sets, licensure, certifications, practice area, experience, internal equity, and market data.
