RHRP Optometry Technician

About the role

We are seeking an Optometry Technician to support the dental exams and treatment needs of our Military Service members. The primary focus will be on weekends within the State of Arkansas, with occasional weekday work as needed.

Responsibilities

• Helping the optometrist with procedures and patient care
• Taking patient histories and maintaining the patient records system
• Aiding patients in selecting frames for their glasses
• Demonstrating care and maintenance of lenses to patients
• Repairing minor issues with broken and damaged eyeglasses
• Maintaining the office and exam room in a clean and organized manner
• Performing tests such as visual acuity, depth perception, pressure, and pupil reflexes

Requirements

• 1+ years of experience as an optometric or ophthalmic technician
• Experience performing visual fields, OCTs, and Fundus Photography
• Knowledge and experience with computers, including word processing, database, and spreadsheet programs
• Own transportation for site traveling

Pay

The salary range for this position is $40,000 - $50,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
